I have had the same small, black stapler for over 10 years. It will only staple about 6 pages or so, so I always had to finagle things if I had more. One day I was at my husbands desk and needed to use a stapler, so I picked up his (a large Swingline) and wow. I had no idea what a treat just stapling could be when it just works. I can't believe that I suffered so long with the other one!?!?! I LOVE this stapler. I have stapled 22 sheets with no problems... smooth as can be. And since it sits upright it takes less space on my desk and is easy to grab and use...
did I mention it is PINK? :) Everything should be made with a pink option!

I love the idea of having a pink stapler and, as a teacher, I had hoped it would stand up to at least one year of use. Unfortunately, it didn't make it past one day of use. I'm unsure if I got a bad stapler or if this is how they all are. The only staplers I use are Swingline brand, so I know the brand is very reliable. This model is not. The staples wouldn't close around the paper. So basically I had papers stapled by a staple that wasn't fully wrapped around the paper. It was in the paper, but not closed. It's hard to describe what I'm actually talking about, but I couldn't risk using this staplers with students. I didn't want them getting hurt by the edges that were poking out. I had such high hopes for my cute little pink stapler, but I guess my hopes were a bit too high.
