Customer Reviews

Well, there is not much too say about this item. It's a stapler and it staples. It has a fairly small footprint compared to my original Swingline stapler, which is similar to the Swingline Commercial Desk Stapler (S7044401A).
The "light touch" design works as described. It takes about the same amount of effort to staple 20 sheets of paper as it does to staple 2 sheets. I haven't had any issues stapling 20 or so sheets of paper, though the staples do start to bend if I go too much higher than that. However, 20 sheets is the stated capacity of this stapler, so I can't complain about that.
It is a compact stapler, so it only takes half strips of staples. So, unless you buy half strips, you will have break all of your existing strips in half so they fit. I don't use a lot of staples in a given day, so this is not an issue for me. However, Swingline does make a full-size version, if you would prefer more capacity (or breaking the strips is just annoying to you).(Swingline PowerEase Reduced Effort Charcoal Stapler (S7087860))
In summary, it's a nice little stapler and the reduced effort design performs as described. I definitely prefer this stapler over my others, which is why I purchased two of them (one for home and one for work). However, it is still just a stapler, so I've probably already written too much about it.

The lighttouch is perfect for me.
It smoothly ; almost effortlessly staples very reliably.
I feel in control of the smooth stapling action, which is very smooth ; fast.
I prefer this stapler compared to the more expensive:
Swingline Optima(TM) PowerEase(TM) Reduced Effort Stapler in Black (S7087850A)
I found the optima loud (The Optima PowerEase is HEAVY, and makes an irritating hammering sound. You squeeze and it builds up the energy and releases a sudden "bang" of a staple.
Some people apparently prefer this BANG of a stapler.
I like the lighttouch.
